VISION, VALUES AND STRATEGIC DIRECTIONS
In the Fall of 2012, the ROSS team delivered the Preliminary Comprenshive Strategy to the Executive Committee, articulating the vision, values, strategic directions and analytical frameworks for the Regional Open Space Strategy. Informed by the Technical Advisory Committees, this document continues to serves as important reference for the ROSS' direction.
VISION AND VALUES
The Preliminary Comprehensive Strategy (PCS) envisions creating an integrated regional open space system celebrated and stewarded by current and future generations.
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
The Regional Open Space Strategy (ROSS) incorporates four primary phases of work: Phase 1 – Scoping, Phase 2 – Preliminary Comprehensive Strategy (PCS), Phase 3 – Watershed Open Space Strategies (WOSS), Phase 4 – Regional Open Space Strategy (ROSS).
The Preliminary Comprehensive Strategy represents the culmination of Phase 2. It guides the development of the ROSS through a set of Watershed Open Space Strategies and ultimately the establishment of an integrated Regional Open Space Strategy that can be used to advance and coordinate regional-scale implementation mechanisms.
