It has been a busy summer for us here at the ROSS. Not only have we been hard at work on our open space services work and entering into an agreement with King County and the City of Seattle for the Green-Duwamish WOSS you may have read about earlier this month, we’ve also been developing a new website.
We are excited to unveil OpenSpacePugetSound.org the new website of the Regional Open Space Strategy. The website is designed first and foremost to explain what the ROSS is as interest in the initiative continues to grow rapidly. You can learn about the purpose of the ROSS, our work defining the many benefits of open space and ecosystem services, and our committee structure and members. Of course if you are looking for reports and other products of the ROSS, you can find them on the website as well.
There is a growing chorus of voices in Puget Sound talking about the importance of regional planning, especially as it related to watersheds and open space. Our blog will feature articles from government and nonprofit executives and planners on these topics, projects and success stories.
We invite you to visit the site, share it with your network and let us know what you think!
