The ROSS Team recently gathered with our Executive Committee to update them on our activities and the milestones we have achieved over the past six-months. We are always eager to meet with our leaders and partners, and the evening's meeting did not disappoint.
Our partners at King County provided an engaging presentation of updates on their activities scaling up the Green-Duwamish Watershed Strategy. This project is ramping up and our team has already started collecting data and information in support of the project. We also had the opportunity to share the GIS-based open space baseline and decision-making portal we have been working on in collaboration with the Trust for Public Land. We are still in the development stage, but we are excited to share this work to visualize and quantify the value of our region's open space services with you in the near future. It was received with great enthusiasm and we are now seeking additional financial resources to more fully build out the tool.
We were also eager to share our new 2015 staffing plan as our work with King County and important staff transitions have enabled us to bring on new staff. We look forward to introducing you to new staff in the near future!
